Medium to full-bodied, layered and vinous, it's satiny and textural, with an enveloping core of fruit, superb concentration and incisive acids. Chiseled and penetrating, it concludes with a long, saline finish. If the 2018 was immediate and demonstrative, this has structure to burn with age, charming though it is out of the gates, and I'm inclined to nominate it Bouchard's finest Val Vilaine to date.”

Cédric Bouchard來自香檳釀酒世家，在巴黎擔任侍酒師一段時間後，於2000年成立自己的酒莊，葡萄園大多分布在Aube省Côte de Bar產區，土質以黏土及石灰岩組成，緯度較香檳其它產區低，較溫暖的氣候使種植出的Pinot Noir有較成熟的果香、易入口的酒體和酸度，是香檳區近年超實力的當紅產區！

Cédric 最初僅有1.37公頃的葡萄田，但他從釀酒的第一天起，就致力於釀造單一葡萄園、單一品種、單一年份、零添糖，能表達純粹風土的頂尖香檳。

起先，Cédric 於五個單一地塊(lieu dit)個別種植單一品種，由於對品質極致的追求，所有葡萄園皆以有機栽培且極大地限制產量（在香檳地區是最低的），並特別強調在最佳時機以人工採收，所有酒款僅使用一次壓榨的葡萄汁製成，不使用橡木桶，以保留純淨果味。在低溫的酒窖中更長時間的進行二次發酵，產生較柔和細小的氣泡，也更增強底層葡萄酒的酒香。

從種植到釀造，Cédric的的每一步都是為了使他的香檳擁有極致的精確度，這也使得他短時間內成為香檳區的明星，驚人的品質使他一砲而紅、酒款炙手可熱！Cédric分別於2005年及2008年取得法國重要的兩家酒評誌RVF及Gault et Millau 香檳區最佳釀酒師的頭銜。

2012年以後，Cédric Bouchard開始接手父親留下的兩片葡萄園、並以Roses de Jeanne裝瓶，兩塊地分別為Val Vilane及Cote de Bechalin，皆種植Pinot Noir，儘管擴大了種植面積，產量仍相當有限，每一瓶Roses de Jeanne皆是一瓶難求的夢幻逸品！與父親的葡萄園合併以後，Roses de Jeanne 目前有7+1款酒，其中一款超限定酒款是WA評分滿分的2018 Champagne Roses de Jeanne (Cédric Bouchard) RDJ No. 1，僅有三百瓶的產量。
