"There is a pure lemony fruit on the initial attack here, but there is more complexity than that, with saline, iodine notes, plus hints of beeswax and hay. The texture is truly enchanting, with a rich, waxy, slightly phenolic texture and a lovely, slight bitterness that balances out the richness. This is built to age and will last a decade or more, at least. Drinking Window 2022 - 2035."

A citrusy and very spicy nose of mostly white fleshed fruit precedes punchy and saline-inflected middle weight flavors that possess plenty of bitter lemon character on the bone-dry and lingering finish. This is blessed with bright acidity and is a wine that could be enjoyed young or held for a few years first so that better complexity can develop. Worth a look.

Domaine de Villaine酒莊主人 Aubert de Villaine，他是布根地著名酒廠 Domaine de la Romanée Conti（羅曼尼•康帝/DRC）的老闆兼釀酒師，雖然出身顯赫，但外表卻一派平實，這也許是大部份布根地名莊的作風，總保留著一份葡萄農的生命基底，但低調樸實更是他一貫的行事風格。

除了代表家族管理DRC，他自己也擁有一家位在荒僻的Bouzeron小村內的小酒莊（位處Chassagne-Montrachet 村南面)，除了做為住所，也釀造價格相當平實，不及Romanée-Conti價格五百分之一的Aligoté白酒。即使有如此巨大的價格差距，但兩家酒莊的產量與用心卻沒有太大的差別，用最傳統的方式，將此地塊的味道注入瓶中，試圖透過味蕾，跟品酒人一起分享這樸實卻又美好的喜悅。

這間酒莊的園地位於Bouzeron，坐落在Côte Chalonnaise地區，北面是Chassagne-Montrachet和Santenay，南面是Rully和Mercurey。這小而陽光明媚的山谷由中世紀Cluny的僧侶開始種植葡萄藤，擁有豐富而悠久的傳統，生產優質葡萄酒，反映出其獨特的風土條件。在這裡，葡萄藤專門生長在斜坡上；營養貧乏，富含石灰石的土壤可以實現精確的產量控制，成就出這年產量僅一萬瓶頂尖佳釀。

Aligote is going from strength to strength in Burgundy, especially with wine gurus like Aubert de Villaine behind it. Aubert is an owner and the head wine maker at Domaine de la Romanee Conti (the most famous estate in all of Burgundy). He also has his own estate in the little know town Bouzeron, Burgundy, and the quality of his wines out of the domaine is phenominal. What's better, you don't have to pay the price of DRC!

This Aligote has plenty to offer. It's treated pretty similarly to Chardonnay with a bit of new oak and some leesy texture coming through. Where it differs is through the typical Aligote acid crunch that gives the wine more freshness and vitality as well as a new dimension of chalky texture. Beautiful wine.
