Giodo "La Quinta" Rosso Toscana 2020


2019年介紹過呢個莊的Brunello, 非常受歡迎，價錢係呢兩三年升值不少。由於Brunello產量太少(年產12000支)，莊主Carlo Ferrini 係Montalcino 產區外搵到地塊，用釀造Brunello的相同種植方法，100% Sangiovese, 2016年開始釀造呢支La Quinta 猶如Baby Brunello, 可以早飲用，亦滿足了此莊愛好者的需求。

Aging:  12 months in 700-litre oak casks, 2,500-litre tapered oak tanks and 2,700-litre “cocciopesto” amphorae, followed by additional time in concrete vats. About 6 months in bottle.

Carlo Ferrini 是意大利最負盛名的釀酒師之一，足跡遍布整個意大利半島，擔任諸多頂級名莊的釀酒顧問。經過多年考察，他相中了Giodo 酒莊目前所在的這片約3公頃土地，在2002年建立了自己的酒莊。酒莊葡萄酒的首個年份為2009年，其出產的2010年份Brunello 取得James Suckling 100分，2015年份是這款酒的第二個滿分。

Lots of earth, meat and spice with cherries and spices. Bark and mushrooms, too. Medium-to full-bodied, deep and dense, but not heavy, with lots of forest fruit at the end. Rather unique. Sangiovese made first in stainless and then in half amphora and half wood for 12 months. Drink or hold.
