Based on the 2020 vintage and disgorged in December 2022, the latest rendition of Sélèque's NV Extra Brut Solessence reveals aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus fruit, peach and almond paste. Medium-bodied, ample and pillowy, it's chalky and precise, with a bright spine of acidity and a pure, mineral finish. It's a terrific introduction to the domaine's range.

Pouring a straw color with a light copper tinge, expressive on opening, it’s fresh with aromas of fresh rain, dewy pear, tangerine peel, apricot, and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied on the palate, with a delicate mousse, it’s a juicy and inviting, lovely entry from Seleque, with classic notes of bread dough and fresh citrus pith all the way through the finish. A very pretty wine, it has a lot of appeal and can be enjoyed over the next several years.

酒莊的歷史要從1965年，當時酒莊也是將收成賣給大型酒商，僅有一部份自行釀造裝瓶。1976年時酒莊設置了自己的壓榨機與儲酒設備，由Richard與Jean兩兄弟合力經營酒莊，獨立釀造與銷售。2008年時，Richard的兒子Jean-Marc，作為酒莊的第三代接班人，也加入酒莊團隊，而後隨著家族分家，成立今日的Jean-Marc Sélèque。

目前的酒莊規模合計約持有7.5公頃的葡萄園，主要都位於一級村Pierry村與旁邊的Moussy村，另外還有Epernay村，以及部份分布在鄰近的Mardeuil村，Dizy村，Boursault村，Vertus村。當中4.5公頃都種植Chardonnay ，32.5公頃的Pinot Meunier ，以及0.5公頃的Pinot Noir。其中主力的Pierry村，Moussy村，Epernay村的葡萄園都已經採用生物動力法，其餘也採用有機農法。

對葡萄園的努力與付出，持續獲得回報。 Jean-Marc Sélèque發現葡萄酒的複雜度與風土的傳遞性更加提升。同時釀造方面Jean-Marc也不遺餘力的精進，從2004年起就與父親共同合作，使用大型橡木桶與小橡木桶的培養，近年更購入蛋形的水泥發酵槽，追求更加圓潤細緻的質地。

第一世代的Anselme Selosse與Francis Egly將小農香檳提升到國際舞台；第二世代的David Leclapart等人將風土作為主角；現在香檳區最新第三世代的年輕釀酒師們，則是結合前兩代的理念，再加上年輕就可以呈現直接的誘人風味當作命題，吸引越來越多葡萄酒愛好者認識香檳。在這些第三世代間，Jean-Marc Sélèque已經是其中的翹楚。法國頗具公信力的葡萄酒版米其林聖經“Guide Hachette des Vins”已經連續11年都刊載了Jean-Marc Sélèque香檳。儼然已經成為新世代名莊，更是未來下一個Anselme Selosse的候選人。
