Distinct toast and a touch of vanilla speak openly of oak on the nose. The palate also carries that toastiness but in a precise fashion on a taut, concentrated palate that brims with freshness. There is the slightest perfume overtone of pine resin and a gorgeous headiness that finish in cool, cool freshness. The texture is rounded but freshness holds sway. Wonderful.

1997年，Gilles Morat 和 Joëlle Morat 夫婦係Vergisson 創立左Domaine Gilles Morat。 Gilles嘅老豆同阿爺係Vergisson擁有葡萄園，但一直將葡萄賣俾酒商。係電子業工作15年後，Gilles 決定搬回家鄉，係Davaye 的葡萄酒學校畢業後，將老豆嘅葡萄園同其他地塊合併，創立自己嘅新酒莊。酒莊位於Vergisson村高地，位於一處名為「Châtaigneraie-Laborier」嘅土地上，呢片土地指嘅係219世紀由一位名叫Laborier的先生種植的栗樹（châtaignes）。Gilles 選擇將酒莊規模控制係較小規模（6公頃），以保持對葡萄園和釀酒工藝嘅精益求精，同時讓Vergisson 的風土特色係Pouilly-Fuissé葡萄酒中得到充分體現。佢個仔Pierre 係Oregon 同埋Tasmania 釀酒一年後，返黎酒莊幫手，釀造2020年份。

酒莊的葡萄園全部位於Vergisson 鎮東向陡峭的圓形劇場式山坡上，該鎮係Pouilly-Fuissé 產區的核心地帶。著名的松岩 Roche de Vergisson 係該地區的標誌性地標，而Roche de Solutré 葡萄園的海拔高度極高，從1000英尺（約300米，用於釀造Sur La Roche特釀）到1500英尺（約460米）。土壤由粘土和石灰岩混合而成，不同地塊的土壤成分各不相同，這為葡萄酒增添了複雜性。
