Pinot Meunier has long been the Cinderella of the Champagne grape triumvirate, rarely winning the accolades of its elder sisters Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This Meunier dominated blend is a welcome indication of its rehabilitation. In addition to the refined orchard fruits, there are notes of marzipan and honeycomb among the aromas. On the bracingly dry, brut-nature palate, expect a cascade of autumn apple resonance and woodland green freshness.

什麼是Rèserve Perpétuelle？

各個酒莊保留儲備酒的方式各有不同，但越來越多酒莊選擇建立一種被稱為perpetual reserve永久儲備酒的陳年酒，這種方式類似雪莉酒的solera陳釀系統，不過perpetual reserve只使用一個容器存放，而非如同雪莉酒一樣採用分層陳釀的方式，但也因此永久儲備酒有時候也會被直接稱為solera。

酒莊會將每次收穫的葡萄酒添加到所選擇的儲存酒容器之中，可能是大小不同的不鏽鋼罐或水泥罐，抑或是橡木桶或大木桶。通常情況下，這種儲備酒放置數年暫不使用，以利建立整個儲備酒系統並讓葡萄酒隨著時間發展。因此，當儲備酒第一次被用來釀造非年份香檳時，可能會包含5個，甚至多達15個連續不同年份收穫的葡萄酒。另一方面，由於建立儲備酒庫存在初期並不會有產值，並且需要多年累積，是一筆成本不小的投資，因此不少規模較小的酒莊仍會選擇以釀造年份香檳為主。
