平均樹齡45年，酒莊沿用最傳統的釀造工藝，通過人工採收之後，在水泥槽中整串發酵，不做過濾處理，然後放入巨型橡木桶中陳釀21個月，年產只有10000支。老藤Grenache 優雅而純淨的果香，溫柔不失力道的質感，在莊主Laurent 的演繹下展現得淋漓盡致，屢屢令人驚艷。

法國酒友把Laurent稱為「夢幻與現實的締造者」，在他們心中Charvin葡萄酒有著極其崇高的地位。即使他所釀造的葡萄酒品質非凡，卻一直刻意保持著相對親民的價位，杜絕二級市場的過分炒作，與眾多同級別的酒王，形成了鮮明的對比，因此更加受到大家的愛戴。

和眾多的羅納河谷傳奇酒莊一樣，Laurent更希望自己釀的酒，可以分享給更多的人，而不是只供某些特定人群的專屬。他認為，葡萄酒是用來喝的，不應當用來投機，用來做身份地位的象徵產物。所以沙爾萬酒莊出產的葡萄酒，都是通過直銷的方式，按照一定比例的配額，分批銷售給私人酒客、合作的專業酒窖、以及有口碑的高級別米其林餐廳，剩下少部分用於出口海外市場。

The 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape (which tips the scales around 15% natural alcohol) is a great example of traditional Chateauneuf du Pape winemaking. A dense dark ruby color is followed by a sexy nose of raspberries, ground pepper, spice box, damp earth, kirsch and dark currants. Full-bodied, complex, elegant and already irresistible as the tannins have completely melted away, it can be drunk now and over the next 15+ years.

Ruby-red. Highly perfumed bouquet evokes candied red fruits, potpourri and allspice, with notes of licorice and white pepper adding complexity. Shows excellent clarity and power on the palate, offering juicy raspberry and cherry flavors and a sexy touch of candied flowers. The very pure, incisive finish lingers with impressive tenacity.
