The domaine has 5ha in the Hautes Côtes village of Arcenant, lieu-dit Derrière le Bois de Chevrey, where the family had a long-standing attachment and patriarch Jean Gros loved to hunt. Fermented in stainless steel and wood fermenters to yield this delicious wine that is pleasantly perfumed but light and fresh, if lacking somewhat in concentration.

Excellent medium deep purple with a pinkish tinge. The aromatics are beautiful here, with a depth of flavour unusual in Hautes Côtes. Dark raspberry with fresher notes, loganberry perhaps, good grip behind and fair length. Well done.

Great nose! Richly berried, deep and spicy. Quite the intro! Rich and bright on the palate, offering a flirty festival of red and black cherries, raspberries, plums and yums! Ripe and juicy, with subtle earth notes, spice and wild flowers accenting the fruit. Palate coating persistence and depth – fine length – this is impressive. Give it some time to open in the glass to enjoy now, or cellar for another 1 – 2 years.
