This is sufficiently reduced that I would strongly advise giving it a thorough aeration if you're tempted to try a bottle young. The sleek, intense and delicious bigger-bodied flavors possess excellent verve while offering impressive persistence on the compact, tightly wound and youthfully austere finale. This should amply repay extended keeping.

酒莊追溯至19世紀末期，當時根瘤蚜蟲問題嚴重，地價直落(便宜)，當時創始人Paul Tortochot便購買一些葡萄園做起葡萄果農。而兒子Felix與來至Morey-St-Denis村的Louise Liebaut結婚(Liebaut家族在村裡是望族)，之後兩人開始走上釀酒之路，不過默默無名。直到傳給第三代Gabriel，他是布根地葡萄酒的狂熱捍衛者，被推舉為Gevrey Chambertin葡萄酒公會會長以及法國AOC法定產區委員會職務。當然也因此買下許多深具潛力的葡萄園。例如，Chambertin 特級田，與Armand Rousseau、Dugat Py的葡萄田比鄰而居，一級田Lavaux St Jacques更是在Armand Rousseau的Clos St Jacques一旁。在此時，酒莊在法國境內頗具名氣，旗下酒款多在法國境內銷售。

第四代 Chantal 畢業於第戎商學院，曾在美國汽油公司的財務部門工作15年，到了1997年，她35歲時選擇回歸酒莊，接下父親的衣缽。在正式回歸之前，她在著名的布根地大學Jules Guyot葡萄與葡萄酒學院獲得了的葡萄科學學士學位。Chantal都係「布根地女性與葡萄酒協會Femmes et Vins de Bourgogne」的活躍成員，在她的努力下酒莊於2013年獲得官方有機認證。Chantal 希望釀造出傳統風格的熱夫雷香貝丹，果香馥鬱、強勁的單寧和良好的酸度，近年來也在往更加優雅輕盈的路線走。
