As well it might for it was grown on stone rather than soil, to judge from the pictures, on decomposed granite at 620 to 780 m above sea level."

The super elegant and austere 2021 As Sortes has a sense of harmony and subtleness that is moving. I found great purity, precision and symmetry in the wine. It has marked granite sensations in the palate; it's very tasty, long, fine-grained and textured, with the cold texture of the year. Palacios compared 2021 with 2012, which was very cold and dry before the harvest. It has to be one of the most elegant vintages of As Sortes. Drink 2023 - 2032.

呢支酒來自西班牙西北面地區Valdeorras土生的 Godello 葡萄。呢種葡萄有 Chablis 的礦物感和 Sauvignon Blanc 的通透果酸 , 但它很易招惹害蟲及霉菌 , 難於打理絕及出品不穩定 , 所以早係百年前呢種葡萄幾乎沒落及絕種。一些有心的西班牙釀酒師唔忍心見到呢種本土葡萄在西班牙酒的歷史中淹沒 , 於是投資巨資在西班牙西北面 Galicia 呢個地方令它重生。當然Rafael Palacios 係西班牙好出名的 Wine Maker , 而As Sortes 就係呢位大師的傑作。
