The Marsannay is one of my many favourites from Méo in 2019. It delivers delicate and lively fruit, and is energetic with gorgeous, vivid freshness. The beautiful fruit is ripe, refined and elegant. It is delivering well beyond its appellation, and with its lovely tension, it brings on a smile.

Notes of cassis, cherries, sweet soil tones and petals preface the 2019 Marsannay (Méo-Camuzet Frère & Soeurs), a medium-bodied, fleshy and perfumed wine with a pretty core of fruit, youthfully chalky structuring tannins and a bright, saline finish.

A slightly riper nose blends notes of both red and dark currant with those of plum and a mentholated top note. There is equally good energy to the better detailed and saline-inflected flavors that display better depth and length on the less obviously warm finish.
