位於澳洲最著名酒區Mclaren Vale的Kay Brothers酒莊，創立於1890年，是一家歷史最悠久的澳洲家族式酒莊，目前由酒莊第三代傳人Colin Kay掌舵。酒莊一直以來採用最傳統方法釀造紅酒，包括用傳統的發酵缸及用小型橡木桶陳年紅酒，而這款Block 6 Shiraz紅酒是酒莊旗艦酒款，採收自百年老樹，芳香複雜。

From vines planted in 1892, the 2018 Block 6 Shiraz is another ripper, as Aussies might say. Aged in 40% new French and American oak, the cedar, grilled meat and vanilla accents are there, but they're just part of a compelling package that includes notes of blackberries, licorice, black olives and intricate herbal complexities of sage, thyme and the like. Full-bodied and concentrated, it's structured yet supple, powerful yet elegant, with a long, velvety finish, simply a terrific example of Block 6—perhaps the best I've had the privilege to taste. Impressive now, it really deserves a few years in the cellar, and it should drink well for up to two decades.

"Stately 126 year old vines. Raised in 40% new American and French oak puncheons. One of the great wines of Australia. Savoury and rippling with ferrous and dense tannin, intense blackberry and boysenberry flavour, nutty oak, black olives and dried herb. Acidity is firm and pretty zesty, but sits inside the wine well enough, and again the umami almost porcini mushroom flavours through deep black fruit. Finish is all tannin, earthiness, frozen berries and super length. It’s a powerhouse vintage, and demands cellaring."
