Moscatel de Alejandria是許多moscatel葡萄品種的女王，3000年由埃及Alexandria栽種至馬拉加。來自西班牙產區D.O. Sierras de Málaga，種植於1915至1946年，平均樹齡70年，海拔400-600米北向斜坡最斜70°種植，土壤非常貧瘠，帶有石塊混雜石英。條件苛刻，非常低產，8月1日開始採收算得上是全歐洲最早收的葡萄，可以控制葡萄不過熟，平衡返酸度。50%去梗，50%整串發酵，不鏽鋼桶發酵，再陳年6-8個月，異常芳香，帶有白花、荔枝、熱帶水果，酒體中等，口感混有微微花蜜甜和充足的酸度，平衡得唔錯，收尾乾身dry，餘韻8秒起，留有stone fruit和花香。

Moscatel 葡萄以其甜葡萄酒而聞名，但由於葡萄園的高度和改進的釀酒技術，現在馬拉加省還生產美麗，乾燥，新鮮的葡萄酒。它甚至成為許多酒窖的真正趨勢，特別是來自生產它們的Axarquia和Manilva。東亞美食和其他強烈辛辣食物的理想搭配，蘆筍菜餚和開胃酒也很好。
