Mid lemon colour, a little bit of reduction, attractive volume here from this plateau site, the fruit offering some depth of flavour with lively tension. Ripe apple with a citrus tint, long and pleasing. Very good. ****

Pale lemon in colour, this reveals a harmonious blend of sappy, smoky wood and fine ripe lemon and white pear on the nose. The palate is bright and vivid, with cleansing acidity cutting through notes of toasted cereals, buttery poached pears and lemon curd. The wood smoke offers savoury spice, matching the leesy, textural richness of the palate. A fine example of Meursault that offers typicity and approachability.

Ripe aromas of hazelnut, pear and apple compote are trimmed in soft nuances of citrus and oak. There is excellent volume to the rich but vibrant medium weight flavors that exude evident minerality on the slightly more complex and youthfully austere finale that is noticeably firmer. This will need at least a couple of years.

Meursault村曾經以圓熟滑潤的口感與帶有奶油與香草的濃郁香氣聞名，成為Chardonnay白酒的重要典型風格。不過，村內葡萄園廣闊、地形多變，常能生產全布根地最多樣的白酒風格，特別是山坡頂上的葡萄園亦常能釀成酸瘦敏捷、帶著礦石香氣的清新夏多內。位處坡頂的葡萄園常有相當多的白色泥灰岩石塊，排水佳，因海拔較高冷涼一些，雖為村莊級園，但亦是精華區，常能釀成多酸有勁，帶礦石氣的Chardonnay白酒，今日介紹的Les Clous便是其中之一。

在Beaune市創立於1731年的知名酒商Bouchards Père et Fils位在路易11時期建立的15世紀防禦碉堡內部，內部整建成儲酒的地下酒窖，有百萬瓶十九世紀中以來的陳年葡萄酒在此長眠至今。雖為酒商，但亦擁有130公頃的葡萄園，在Meursault村內最知名的五片一級園都有葡萄園，村莊級園以Les Clous 最重要，有8.64公頃之多。全以手工採收與汰選後，不去梗整串榨汁，100%橡木桶發酵，15%新木桶陳年8-10個月後裝瓶。
